Places of tourist interest in Spain - Cadiz


A part of the Hamonymoous province, Cadiz actually is a part of the Andalusia community. This city is also an important port and now it is a most popular tourist spot. It is also a military base for the Spanish navy. This city with multifarious facets has been receiving thousands of tourists every year. Let us go round the city and enjoy the natural beauty and also visit some of the important tourist places:

Historic buildings:

There are numerous historic buildings in this city of Cadiz. Some of the popular historic buildings are Plaza San Antonio, Plaza de Mina, Plaza de San Juan de Dios, Plaza de Candelaria. These historic buildings are located in close proximity and according to archeologists they were built during the 18th and 19th century. For example Plaza San Antonio is a classic gothic style building and archeologists say it was originally built in 1669 and it was subsequently remodeled during the 19th century. Similarly Plaza de la Catedral is yet another popular historic building which is also considered to be a religious place where most of the visitors make their daily prayers.

The other historic building includes Admirals house which is believed to have been constructed in 1690. This building is lavishly decorated both in the exterior and in the interior. According to historical records a family of Admirals built this immensely beautiful building out of the proceeds of their trade links with America. Yet another popular building is Tavira tower which is a watch tower for the merchant navy.

Beach:

La Playa de la Caleta is the most popular beach of Cadiz. This immensely beautiful beach has attracted thousands of tourists from many parts of Europe. This popular beach has surrounded the two historical forts namely San Sebastian and Santa Catalina. This beach is approximately three kilometers long with abundant water sports and facilities for fishing. On the beach there are numerous hotels which serve the most delicious food and the popular local wine.

The city of rent villas in spain is also called a city of Carnivals. It hosts many carnivals and apart from religious fervor, many cultural activities also are held. Thousands of tourists from far and wide attend these carnivals. The city can be reached both by road and rail. There are also many shopping malls and for those who have fascination for shopping, perhaps Cadiz is one of the most preferred shopping centres.

Tourism Guide to Girona- Spain


Girona is mostly known among the visitors for its international airport as most of the visitors travel to their resorts in Costa Brava or to Barcelona, after landing at this airport, so they miss this beautiful and historical Catalan district. There are a lot of activities and attractions in Girona for the visitors like art galleries, historical monuments, museums and great architect of medieval times. There is a famous bridge called Pont de les Peixateries which is built over the Onyar River and it flows towards the centre of the city. You will find many old houses with different bright paints like red, orange and green are located along with the river and adds the beauty into the scenery of surroundings.

Girona is being ruled by many civilizations over the centuries and you will find number of foot prints of theses nations in the city. Celt Iberians were the first to establish the town and later on Roman’s took control of the city from these tribes. Till 1492, this city was dominated by the Jewish population and you will find many roads in the form of maze in the old town of the city belonging to the Jewish rule and this part of the old town is very famous among the visitors.

Arab Baths, a landmark of the city are located in the north of the Jewish section and these were constructed during the 12th century. Despite of the name, these baths were built by the Christians several years later than the Moorish rule over the city. You will find four rooms and one corridor in these baths. Sant Pere de Galligants Monastery is also located near these baths and the architect of the building is very impressive and worth watching. This building is now used as an Archaeology Museum and contains a nice collection of the historical relics collected from the entire Girona city.

Girona Cathedral is another famous attraction in the rent villas spain and it was constructed during the 11th century but in the 17th and 18th century, many alterations were made in this cathedral. The architect of the cathedral is very impressive in Gothic and Baroque style and you can also visit a small museum inside the cathedral. Museum of Art Girona is also located near the cathedral and it is housed inside Episcopal Palace. This museum also contains a big collection of artistic work like paintings and carvings belonging to the 11th century.

Estepona Tourist Guide – Spain

Estepona is a beautiful city located at a distance of fifty miles from Malaga city along the scenic Sierra Bermeja mountain range. This is among those resorts at Costa del Sol which still have maintained the original Spanish ambiance in comparison to the other resorts located in the same region. The Old Town in Estepona is a very popular destination for visitors as there are many historical monuments, tapas cafes and some very fine beaches. The Selwo Safari Park Zoo is also located near the Estepona resort.

Plaza de la Flores is the main attraction in the old town of Estepona for its orange trees and tropical fauna. There are a number of beautiful houses situated along the narrow and stone roads bordering the square of the old town. La Torre del Reloj is a historical tower which was constructed in the old town during the 15th century and is a place worth visiting.  Nuestra Senora de los Remedios Church is another historical landmark here which was constructed in the 18th century, you will also find the old walls of a historical castle in the Estepona Old Town.

Estepona has four museums which are worth visiting, including the famous Bullfighting Museum. There is also a local museum in the town where you will find a great collection of old fishing and farming tools. The Paleontology Museum is also located in the town which contains one of the largest collections of fossils in Spain, numbering almost two thousand. The fourth museum is the Archaeology Museum and it displays a great collection of artifacts belonging to ancient and pre-historical times.

Beaches in spanish villas are very fine and well equipped: they include the Playa de la Rada which covers an area of more than two miles and has many popular bars and cafes along the entire beach. There is a beautiful esplanade and marina as well on this beach and you can also take a boat trip from the marina to nearby towns. Several night-time discos are also located at the marina and keep the place busy especially during the summer. In the early mornings, this marina becomes a fish market for the local fishermen. Playa del Cristo is a protected cove in Estepona which is worth visiting and you can also visit the Costa Natura Naturist resort located on the western side of Estepona, at a distance of couple of miles.

Caleta de Fuste


Caleta de Fuste is a resort that is custom-made for visitors, and one can find it in the island called Fuerteventura. This resort is located on the eastern side of the coastline in this island. There has been a significant development in the last few years in the Caleta de Fuste resort. It has undergone a lot of expansion and has developed a huge golf course. There are a lot of new hotels that have come up and the resort also offers numerous holiday packages for the convenience and benefit of visitors. This place is spectacular and peaceful, and attracts mainly the younger generation from European countries.

Situated on a huge bay, the resort is lively – there are a lot of bars and cafes. The resort is filled with very fine sand which is imported. The slopes that lead to the sea are very gentle and this makes it very safe for kids. Hotels here like the Sheraton have created small spectacular lagoons. Caleta de Fuste resort is major attraction for the children as they have a lot of activities in which they can participate. There are nice play areas and children's golf areas where they can spend a lot of time playing. There are also small train rides which the children will enjoy. There is a lot more recreation for the children like the trampolines etc.

This resort has a harbor which dates back to the 17th century. One gets to see a lot of boats in this place and one can also go for boat rides here. Whale-watching, however, is available only in the harbor.

There are a lot of water sports activities that one can enjoy in the Caleta de Fuste resort. These water sports include diving, surfing, snorkeling and also lessons for beginners. One can also sign up for the champion courses which are taught here.The only disadvantage here is that there is no great night-life here, since bars and the restaurants close quite early. But during the day and late evening one gets to hear the best music played in these bars and one can enjoy great international and Spanish music. A great option for tourists is the holiday villas spain ,  Elba Palace, a luxury hotel located near the golf course in this resort and this place is worth visiting.In short the Caleta de Fuste is a beautiful resort which is definitely worth visiting.

Costa De Almeria

Spain is a great vacation spot and that is the reason why so many tourists flock to this place for enjoyment. Parties, dance and music on the beach and many places to visit are some of the reasons for Spain becoming a great tourist hub. In fact the people of Spain and their rich culture and tradition are a great attraction for people from across the globe. They have rituals and festivals and love parties and dancing. The nightlife in Spain is something that will provide great excitement and cheer.

Of the many beautiful coasts, Costa De Almeria is a very popular one and is often called the Gulf of Almeria. Located along a stretch of around 217 kms, this famous coastline is situated in the AndalucĂ­a province and is well placed between two spectacular tourist destinations: Granda and Murcia.The coast is characterised by long white sandy beaches which provide a great atmosphere for those who love to play around. There are also some smaller bays as well if you like some privacy and silence. The entire ambience is a mixture of both greenery and dry desert. You can also get a scenic view of vegetation and mountain ranges too. The climate here is sub-tropical and very rarely cloudy.

So the clear blue sky with day long sunshine makes the coastline even more attractive, and all the year through you will find tourists from various parts of the world making it a happening place in Spain! In fact this place is also much sought after by film makers and most of the western films have featured this place. There are numerous beaches that are neat and exotic and some of them include Almerimar, Aguadulce, Vera, Adra, spanish villa and so on. Besides the beaches, you can also check out the various natural reserves that are found in the surrounding areas.

The entire Mediterranean area is famous for one superb coastline that is the Cabo de Gata which is just 20 kms from the city. Here you can see sand dunes, salt pans, beaches with white sand, fishing villages and a lot more. The place is also known for great water sports activities as the water is clear. Situated close to the dunes, is the Punta Entinas-Sabinar where you get to see many species of water birds. Besides this you could also visit the lagoons, the unique desert-like landscape and some romantic mountain ranges.
